Reimagining the award-winning training application for Correlation One

Named one of the top startups by LinkedIn, Correlation One is renowned for its innovative and award-winning Data Science for All (DS4A) training program. These online workshops are tailored for major corporations and countries aiming to upskill and reskill their workforces in response to the rapidly expanding global data economy. We partnered with Correlation One to redesign their flagship product to better meet the evolving needs of their learners.

As expected, Correlation One’s product team is highly creative and deeply involved in designing their previous application. For the engagement to be successful, we needed to collaborate closely with them (all remotely via Zoom!) to generate the best ideas. We custom-designed a series of Design Thinking exercises to align business goals with audience needs, ideated and prioritized numerous product features, brainstormed various UI concepts, and, ultimately, prototyped and tested the redesigned application with a user group—all within just three weeks.

Our design sprint process not only identified significant UX inefficiencies but also uncovered innovative product features that address key pain points for our target audiences. Correlation One's DS4A accelerator program is designed to create value in just four weeks, and our proposed UX and UI enhancements were tailored to complement this program digitally. By providing real-time user status and actions, these improvements would enhance the product with both "painkillers"—features that tackle major user challenges—and "vitamins"—features that deliver unexpected benefits and gains, and thus significantly accelerate the overall learning progress of participants.
